Who are we?
The main aim of the Bulgarian society is to offer members a safe space where they are supported and can express themselves freely, while also maintaining a strong relationship with their roots. We make it a priority to welcome Freshers and facilitate their transition to life in a completely new environment.
What do we do?
We organise events such as Game and Movie nights, sports activities and tournaments, parties as well as collaborations with other societies. In order to stay connected to our culture and heritage, we commemorate all major Bulgarian holidays and host folklore dance classes. In addition, we also provide members with opportunities to expand their personal and professional capabilities through education and career development workshops.
About ‘Aether’:
The Bulgarian Society is proud to have its own dance ensemble- ‘Aether’. The activity of the Bulgarian folk-dancing ensemble revolves around hosting workshops weekly, performing at various concerts and events as well as attending festivals both in the UK and abroad. Learn more here.
