Hi everyone. My name is Sabina Polycarpou and I am currently a final year Music student. As president of the Cypriot society this year, I aim to organise all events in the best way possible with fundamental aim to bring all members of our society closer, making sure each individual feels as if they have a home away from home. In addition to, I intend to keep all members satisfied and seek constant improvement. No exception made, I consider all members of our society to be as equally important pieces of this puzzle in order to accomplish making this a successful and memorable year. Hey! My name is Ioanna and i am a 3rd year Mathematics student! I’ve been elected Vice President of the Cypriot society for this academic year and I am very excited to get started! My main objective is to have an unforgettable year by creating new memories and new friendships between us! Hello everyone! My name is Aliki Antoniou, I study Mathematics and I am your treasurer for this year. My main objective would be to use the society’s funds wisely, along with the help of the other members of the committee, in order to benefit the whole society. I will do anything in my power to ensure that the society’s transactions are correct and accurate. I take positions of responsibility very seriously and I plan to fulfil the role of treasurer with dedication, as well as provide a helping hand in any way possible. Hello everyone, I’m Sophia Panayidou and I am a third year Economics student. I am honoured to introduce myself as the Secretary of the Cypriot Society for this upcoming academic year. I feel as though I bring to the table a lot of qualities that a secretary requires and I will do my best to make this year unforgettable. Hello, I am Louis and I will be this year’s sports officer. My engagement with sports along with my knowledge on the field are what I will combine in order to create fun activities for all. Wellbeing Officer: Nayia Andreou
My name is Nayia Andreou and I am a third year Nutrition & Dietetics student. For the academic year 2021-22 I am proud to announce that I am one of our Wellbeing and Inclusion Champions in the Cypriot Society of the University of Surrey. The past two years I have tried to help fellow students struggling with a university experience different from what they were expecting due to the unfortunate pandemic. For this reason I would love to bring my knowledge and passion for human wellbeing into the society. My main aims as this positions holder are to help everyone face whatever ails them, make sure their voice is heard and amplified as well as create a safe support zone for all students. Hello everyone, my name is Theodoulos Parpounas. I am a placement year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student and I’ll be your barbecue officer this year.
