President – Valentina Coppolaro
Email – vc00202@surrey.ac.uk
Hi, I’m Valentina and I am your President for the upcoming year. I am a Masters student in Economics and have been playing netball at the University since my second year at Surrey. I have loved being part of Team Surrey Netball, all the girls are lovely, and both training and socials never fail to be entertaining. We are a successful club both off and on the court, with the support from our coaches and players.
As President, I am aiming to ensure that our bounce back to netball runs as smoothly as possibly with the introduction to some new initiatives to help develop the club further, whilst supporting the other committee members with their roles and other club members throughout the season.
My role is to oversee the committee and the club to ensure that everything is running smoothly, offering help and support wherever it is needed. I work closely with our coaches and Team Surrey to ensure that our programme is delivered to the highest standard, whilst representing the views of club members to the Union.
After a year of challenging netball, I am excited to bring us back to normality with as much ease as possible, and can’t wait to see what post-covid netball is like.
Vice President – Abbey Lovey
Hi I’m Abbey and I am your Vice President for the 2021/2022 season. I’m a final year sociology & criminology student eager to head back to netball again this September! Team Surrey netball has been an amazing club to be apart of these last couple of years. All the girls are super friendly and it’s so lucky to find great girls both on court & off the court ( socials never disappoint;)). We’ve been a very successful club, so I’m extremely excited to get started!
My role as Vice President is to support the work of Valentina (President) by replying to emails, supporting everyone & making sure everything runs as efficiently as possible. I am also in charge of the well-being team, therefore if you have any issues, queries or need a chat, no matter big or small, I’m always available:).
Even though this past year has been a massive rollercoaster, Team Surrey netball has been very supportive. Therefore I would love to continue that this year & give a huge welcome to the new freshers joining us! It will be amazing to have training back & all the girls together again with added members! I better get my fitness shoes back on!!! See you on court:)
Treasurer – Amy Potter
Hi! My name is Amy, I’m a third year Maths student and I am your Treasurer for this year and will be my second year in the role! My role includes managing the club funds so you can all get most out of your memberships across the year. I’ll also work closely with V and Abbey (your President and Vice President) to run the club alongside the rest of the committee.
I’m also in charge of kit. I’m hoping to get some kit out this year that you guys will love and want to wear at training sessions, matches and also around campus. You’ll be able to represent Team Surrey Netball in your own way by wearing our kit.
For me Team Surrey Netball is like my second family and it is one of the main things that I love about Univeristy. I felt welcomed right from day one and I’ve made some of my closest friends here. I hope you love being surrounded by people who love netball as much as I do.
See you in September!

Email – ms02520@surrey.ac.uk
Hey, I am your communications officer for this season. I’m a second year law student so have only been at surrey for a year but, what i have seen so far within our netball club is how amazing the girls and coaches are and, how it has been so fun to be a part of even if we could not play normally. We were still kept busy which shows the determination of the club to keep their platers happy and which made the year with netball super enjoyable… and will continue this year!
My role is to handle all of our social media and update the website, so if you see any posts made it is most likely me! I am also here to answer and queries or questions that you have about the club or anything in general and to keep everyone up to date about training or matches or any important news or information. I will always have a camera or phone at hand to get some actions shots and videos so be ready! Hopefully this year we will be able to shoot a lot of video contact to put on our social platforms to show everyone what an amazing club we are.
Hopefully we will make our tiktok blow up this year… see you on the court!
