About Us

Theatre Society – Theatre for Everyone

Weekly Sessions – 6pm to 8pm – Every Wednesday

We are the USSU Theatre Society! It’s our goal to provide a supportive environment that’s accessible for everyone to explore theatre, regardless of previous experience and background in theatre. Performing on stage can be a daunting prospect; through our workshops we want to help build our members’ confidence and skills, and to encourage them to enjoy performing to others.

We try to provide many performance opportunities to our members whenever possible, be it through smaller performances run by our members, open nights where you can show off any new projects you have been working on or taking part in our main show of the year.

We hold weekly sessions on Wednesday evenings, which range from being educational and practising specific theatrical techniques, to more lighthearted sessions such as improv games. In addition, we aim to host regular socials – whether you prefer to sit down and watch a theatre production or go on a bar crawl in fancy dress, there is something everyone can enjoy! We regularly post on our social media about sessions, shows and other events so keep an eye on them for updates! If you have any questions, have a project we may be interested in or want to take part in our activities please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Overall as a society we strive to be inclusive, welcoming and approachable.
