Meet the committee of the Hellenic Society

President: Petro Natso

Our president is a final year Accounting and Finance student.  His drive and willingness allow him to continue giving to our society but now as the President. He is determined not only to fulfill any existing gap but also to develop our society and give a new flavor. He is known as a friendly, social, and approachable person and his main aim is to bring students closer to create a collaborative spirit that will certainly impact positively both their mental health and performance at the university. The Hellenic Society has a dominant position in the University and by working closely with the union he will strive to maintain this reputation. This past year has been remarkably difficult for everyone and hopefully, we can all reflect on the past and look forward to a bright future with our society being all members’ shoulder to lean on.

Vice President: Ariadni Mania

As the elected Vice President of the Hellenic Society for the academic year 2021/22 Ariadni Mania, a final year Chemistry student, is going to be working closely with the president and be responsible for assisting him in realising the overall aims of the society. She is considered to be organisational, goal-oriented and always willing to help whoever is in need, assets very important for the position of the VP. She can handle every situation with responsibility, fact that is extremely as a VP needs to step in and take responsibilities in the running of the society.

Treasurer: Katerina Papakosta

Katerina Papakosta has been elected as the treasurer of the Hellenic Society. She is a second year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student. From the start of her university experience, she has been an active member of the society by taking part in various events hosted by the society. She is a responsible, trustworthy, and cooperative person who only seeks the best for the society. Her university course offered her and helped her develop skills like teamwork, communication, attention to detail and many more that are an asset to the society. 

She will try to ensure the efficient function of the society and she will productively cooperate with the other committee members and help organize and host great events. She will do this by keeping the society’s funds accurate, ensuring the transparency, and communicating well with others.

Secretary: Spyros Kalodikis

Spyros Kalodikis has been elected Secretary for the 2021/22 academic year. He is a second year Computer Science students that strives for excellence in all aspects of his life, academic or social. Volunteering has always played an important role to him. He will do his best to give freshers, 2nd and 3rd year students new and more unforgettable memories

PR and Events Officer: Christina Papadomichelaki

Christina Papadomichelaki is the PR and Events officer of the Hellenic Society. She is going in second year studying Business Management. She is very social and approachable, making her a fit choice for this position. She loves to have fun and help out everyone in need. Feel free to contact her for new ideas and plans for our society and be prepared to have a great year!

Well-being Officer: Antrea Hajisergiou

Antrea Hadjisergiou is the well- being officer of the Hellenic Society. She is a second year LLB Law student. She has a friendly, easy going personality, which makes her perfectly suitable for this position. She is  always willing to help if needed! Do not hesitate to contact her as she will be more than happy to assist you. Antrea is here for you to listen to your troubles and worries and give you helpful advice!

Well-being Officer: Georgia Georgiou

I am Psychology student who is currently on my placement year. Having enjoyed being part of the society during my years at university, i appreciates the importance of making all members feel welcome and at home. The aim of the wellbeing officer is to ensure that every member of the society feels they have someone to turn to in times of need. This will be my main priority, making all members feel they always have someone to talk to. 

Sports Officer: Alexandros Mylonas

Alexandros is a third year Civil Engineering student and he is the Sports Officer of the Hellenic Society. He is a friendly and responsible individual. He was part of the society’s football team and knows how to organize a sports event as he was involded and lived it from within since his first year.
