Small Sided is our Playsport offering it is an opportunity for anyone of any ability to come along and get involved with some Hockey and physical activity, you don’t even have to be a member to come along! If you’re unsure about joining UOSHC, Small Sided is absolutely the first place you should go to get a taster of what the club is like. It runs every Sunday from 17:30-19:00 at AGP2, Surrey Sports Park.
Activator
Hi my name is Frankie and I am this years Activator. I am currently in my final year of studying Business Management with Marketing and have been an active member of the Hockey club since my freshers week!
This year I will be working with Nate, the Coordinator, to run the Small Sided hockey sessions on a Sunday evening up at AGP2. Nate and I have played hockey for a combined total of 25 years, have each played a variety of positions and have coached at varying ability levels. So whether you are new to hockey, rekindling old skills, or want to get some extra training in, we will have you covered!
The main aim though is not only to help you improve your Hockey skills but also to come into a great community which is the Hockey club. Every member of small sided is as important a part of the Hockey community as 1st team players, being invited to all socials and Rubix nights. So, if you are looking for a social and friendly way to play sport then I hope to see you at small sided on Sunday evenings.
Coordinator
Hello, my name is Nate, I’m a second-year business management student & will be this year’s coordinator.
I started playing hockey at aged 9 originally as a striker however peer pressure turned me to goalkeeping. If your lucky you might catch me on corners for the mixed squad though… watch out sticky badger!
I’ve been coaching for the last 3 years having worked roles with Sussex Hockey, Geelong Grammar School, SportWays Hockey Camps & am currently employed at Gordon’s School in Woking.
I’m very excited for this season & supporting our activator Frankie Langley providing fun & productive sessions for hockey players at all levels, positions & commitments. No matter your ability, whether you’re a goalkeeper or have no clue where you’re playing feel free to make a trip to AGP2, I promise it’ll be worth it!
