Active Listening and Bystander Awareness Training

9 October 2025

12:00 - 14:00

This training will give you the opportunity to learn how to be a better listener others and ensure that you know how to safely step in when you see something that isn't right.

Run by the Support Zone staff as part of Wellbeing week, active listening training will cover the classic listening techniques that we all know (eye contact, body language etc) but will go deeper than that, to help you with what to say and how to respond in difficult situations. Coupled with our Bystander intervention training, you will learn how to take action when you see something that isn't ok.

This training opportunity will not only support your wellbeing, and the wellbeing of others around you (your friends, family and colleagues) but also looks brilliant on your CV. Your Union always aim to make you more employable through training opportunities like these.

This is a drop-in session so please come by if you are free!
