Annual General Meeting (AGM) – University of Surrey Equestrian Club
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is where we come together as a club to celebrate the past year and vote in the new committee for the upcoming season. It’s an important part of the club calendar, but most importantly it’s designed to be friendly, supportive, and fun – a chance for everyone to get involved in shaping the future of the club.
Members running for committee positions will have the opportunity to give a short, informal speech about why they’d like the role and any ideas they have for the year ahead. We encourage candidates to share manifestos, but these don’t need to be formal — feel free to keep them light-hearted, creative, and reflective of your personality.
The following non-signatory roles will be voted on during the AGM:
* BUCS Captain
* Social Riding Captain
* Community Secretary
* Fundraising Secretary
* Wellbeing Champions
* Social Secretaries
Signatory roles will be voted for online to allow all members to participate. However, candidates for signatory positions will still have the opportunity to give a short speech during the AGM so members can hear from them before voting opens.
Whether you’re running for a role or just coming along to vote and support your friends, we’d love as many members as possible to attend. The AGM is all about celebrating the club, supporting each other, and welcoming the next committee. 🐎
