Moving into university is an exciting time, but it can also be a little hectic trying to get everything in order. Getting settled in is a big task, especially if you're moving in from outside the UK!

Between unpacking, setting up your room, and sorting last minute shopping, the last thing you need is a long shopping list. That’s where our Community Hub steps in.

Reopening today (10 September), the Community Hub is a community-focused space, designed to help students and especially new arrivals access affordable essentials during their first weeks at university. Located outside the Library on Stag Hill campus, it’s stocked with a rotating supply of second-hand, donated items, perfect for helping you settle in. You'll find essentials like kitchen supplies and bedding, great for ticking those items off your to-buy list!

It's also a great way to live more sustainably by using pre-loved items, and by donating items to find a second home to benefit another student. The Community Hub helps our Surrey community reduce waste, all whilst helping you with the financial realities of studying away from home. 

All week the Community Hub will be open from 14:00 - 18:00 to help you pick up your essentials ready for the new academic year, so swing by and check out what's on offer.
