This is an exciting opportunity to develop a project or exhibition that reflects the interests, experiences, and voices of our student community. We particularly welcome ideas that celebrate the diversity, cultures, identities, and lived experiences that make Surrey such a vibrant and inclusive university.

As Student Curator, you'll work with Library staff to research a topic you're passionate about, develop creative content, and bring your vision to life through displays, events, or digital engagement. You'll gain valuable experience in project management, budget management, communication, research, and public engagement, while making a lasting contribution to the University community.

Whether you have a personal story to tell, want to shine a light on an underrepresented perspective, or have an idea that brings people together, we'd love to hear from you.

As part of the project, you'll have a £100 budget to select books related to your chosen theme, helping you leave a lasting legacy by adding new titles to the Library's collection for future students to discover and enjoy.

Take a look at some of our previous Student Curators and the inspiring exhibitions they created.

Apply now and help us showcase the rich diversity, creativity, and experiences of the Surrey community. Your ideas could inspire meaningful conversations, broaden perspectives, and become our next student-curated exhibition.

Our Student Curator project is a Student-Staff partnership project, run by the Library in partnership with the Students’ Union, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
