Wed 1 April 2026

As we head into the Spring Vacation, your Students’ Union will be closed for a short period as your Sabbatical Officers and Union Staff take some time away.

We will be closed from 17:00 on Wednesday 1 April through to 9:00 on Thursday 9 April 2026, meaning that services such as support will not be available during this time. All services will resume as normal on the Thursday.

The Campus Safety team will be available 24/7 as normal throughout the Spring Vacation. If you need immediate support on campus or there is an emergency situation (including mental health emergencies), please contact Campus Safety. If you are off campus, please call 999.

We have outlined below some details of additional local and national support services should you need them during our closure period:

  • Samaritans – provide a confidential and anonymous listening service 24/7 and can be contacted on 116 123.
  • NHS Mental Health Crisis Line – support for those in a mental health crisis, who need urgent help. Contact on 0800 915 4644 available 24/7.
  • PAPYRUS – provide confidential help and advice around mental health. Contact HopeLineUK on 0800 068 4141 (24/7 including weekends and bank holidays).
  • Guildford Safe Haven – offer evening and weekend drop-in service for anyone needing mental health or emotional support. Open from 18:00 – 23:00, seven days a week. They can be found at 101 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford.

Your Union will be open again on Thursday 9 April 2026 where the team will be able to pick up any emails and questions sent to us over this period.
