The Student Success and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (SSEDI), in collaboration with the Students’ Union, are creating a new extra-curricular programme, called Surrey Future Leaders, for our under-represented student groups throughout their university experience, from starting at the University of Surrey to graduation.

We’re looking for individuals who are representative of Student Carers across the University of Surrey to work with the SSEDI team on the Surrey Future Leaders programme, ensuring that student voice is at the heart of what we do.

This exciting opportunity will involve the post holder in developing a community network and designing/creating events and resources for their peers. As a Student Network Champion, you will enable and facilitate members of our Student Carer community to come together and share experiences, attend bespoke events and workshops and get timely advice or opportunities specific to their situation and/or circumstance.

You will also obtain an insight into project management and design work which will enhance your CV. Training and CPD opportunities are available.

Who can apply: This job opportunity is open to home students enrolled at the University of Surrey who identify as someone having caring responsibilities (e.g. you care for a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or addiction)
