As VP Activity, my priority has been to provide an inclusive program of events and opportunities to enhance student life at Surrey. 

This year, fostering a strong sense of belonging among our students has been a key focus for the Activity Zone. By offering free or affordable events and trips, we've helped students connect with new friends and try new experiences. We organised 14 trips across the UK and abroad, giving students the chance to explore, bond, and create lasting memories.

Through showcase events like Strictly Come Surrey, our Winter Fashion Show, and the Union Ball and Colours Ball, we have united students and staff to showcase the vibrancy of our community at Surrey.

Our Clubs and Societies had a fantastic year. We supported the establishment of over forty new societies, and we were thrilled when Team Surrey brought home the Varsity trophy for the fourteenth time against Royal Holloway!

We have accomplished significant achievements for students in collaboration with the University. Through Team Surrey, we offered free sports sessions to over 500 students and enhanced the accessibility of sports by promoting inclusive activities such as Boccia and sitting volleyball.

Personal and professional development is at the heart of the Activity Zone, and together with the University's Careers team, we have helped our students access expert careers guidance, connect with employers, and find part-time job opportunities.
