ScraphEEp 2026

EARS would like to invite you to attend the 2026 ScraphEEp challenge!
This year's ScraphEEp challenge will be on February 4th and is a demolition derby in which teams will race around a track while battling it out to achieve first place!
The teams can consist of up to 5 students and you will have 4 hours to design and build a battle car. There will be our hEEp of scrap that you will have to rummage through to find the parts you are after, as well as access to the Makerspace to use the equipment available to enable you to create your unique and wacky designs. We will provide each team with essential components for the car, and there will be staff and committee members on hand to help you and your team making the event accessible to all skill levels and no prior experience is required.
ScraphEEp is a FREE event open to all students at the University, so please get your friends involved. Individuals will be added on the day to teams with available spaces, making scraphEEp a great social event and a brilliant way to meet new people.
Registration starts at 1pm on February the 4th with building beginning at 2pm in 10AB04. We are limited to 80 spaces so please register using the link below and show up as early as you can to guarantee your space.
