Aims
We aim to create a relaxed environment for students to socialise and gain a sense of community, while also maintaining a high standard of music for those within and outside of DMM. We have a range of performance opportunities from our own concerts to carols around campus, student assessments, and the pro-vice-chancellor's inauguration.
Existence
Most universities have a brass band and compete in the annual UniBrass banding competition. A brass band is a key part of a successful university music hub, alongside wind bands and big bands for example.
