Crochet Soc

We hold Crochet sessions each week, where beginners and expert crocheters are all welcome.

Hi!

Welcome to Crochet Society. We hold crochet sessions every Tuesday from 18:00 to 20:00. We have a range of exciting themes and events planned for the year so keep up to date with what we plan next!

People of all crochet abilities are welcome.

We will have memberships for £7 per semester, or £12 for the year - our members will have access to the members' group chat (where you can have a say in what you'd like to do), discounted prices for themed events and be able to borrow equipment.

If a paid membership feels too much, we will also be offering a loyalty card scheme whereby every 4th session attended would be free of charge.

In the mean time please check out our website and socials!

Aims

To promote our society to different students, to crochet projects for charity - such as baby blankets for the NHS and possibly, have a stall which sells crocheted products for charity, make blankets for homeless charities etc. To help teach students with no experience how to crochet or improve beginners crocheting skills. To host a crochet and sip event open to anyone to make cocktails/mocktails and crochet with their friends (or make new friends!). To organise a pub crawl event and different social events to all people interested in the society to find out more. Possibly organise a crochet retreat - this may end up being a goal for next year

Existence

Complete different Crochet projects, create a welcoming space for students who share an interest in crocheting to meet and make new friends. Also to allow students to unwind from a busy day, many people also might find crocheting can help with their wellbeing.
