Aims
To support members' academic and professional development through workshops, speaker events and career-focused activities. To connect students with industry professionals, alumni and employers through networking opportunities. To provide practical learning experiences such as case studies, investment discussions, competitions and skills sessions. To enhance members' employability by developing analytical, commercial and professional skills relevant to future careers. To foster an inclusive and welcoming community where students can share ideas, discuss current economic and financial developments and build lasting connections.
Existence
The Surrey Economics and Finance Society exists to create a community for students interested in economics, finance, business and related fields. Our purpose is to help members develop their academic knowledge, professional skills and industry awareness beyond the classroom. We provide opportunities for networking, career development and collaboration. The society serves as a platform for students of all backgrounds and experience levels to connect with like-minded peers, engage with industry professionals and gain practical insights into careers in economics, finance, banking, consulting, investment and related sectors.
