The Economics & Finance Society is one of the largest societies on campus, bringing together students with an interest in economics, finance, business and the world of markets.

Throughout the academic year, we run a wide range of events and opportunities designed to help you learn, connect and make the most of your time at Surrey. From industry talks and career panels to finance and economics workshops, networking events and socials, there are plenty of ways to get involved, whether you already have a passion for the subject or are simply looking to explore something new.

As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to:

For those looking to take their involvement further, EFS also offers opportunities to gain practical experience through initiatives such as Surrey Capital Research, our student-led research club. Members can contribute to research and report writing across areas including equity research, mergers & acquisitions and economic development, giving you the opportunity to explore real-world topics, develop your analytical skills and build experience beyond the classroom.
