Do you like weapons? Do you fancy yourself something of a Napoleon when it comes to strategy? Are you, in short, a massive freakin' nerd? If the answer to three or less of these questions is yes, then this is the right society for you.

Military History and Technology Society (MilSoc) is a place for students with an interest in military stuff to congregate, hosting sessions to provide debate, learning, and socialising opportunities. Furthermore, it acts as a platform for events such as war gaming, videogaming, museum trips and much more.

if any of this sound interesting to you, then why not come along to one of our sessions? It's absolutely free!

Aims

A club where you can talk to others about you favourite parts of military history and technology. Whether it be the classic sword or spear debate, pondering what would’ve happened if Napoleon won at Waterloo, explaining to us all just how superior the tiger tank was for the hundredth time, or even discussing the intricacies of stealth technology, we should have something for you. And it wont just be sitting around all day talking, we plan to do fun activities like quizzes, war gaming, and even visiting some nearby museums. If you like Sabaton, we’re the society for you!

Existence

There are many people with an interest in military history, and quite frankly, we’re sick and tired of having to flex our detailed knowledge of the subject, onto those who can’t truly appreciate it, and I have no doubt, you are all sick and tired of hearing about it too. So, my proposed solution is to let us all get together once a week and blow off all that steam onto each other, and that way, nobody else has to have the precise benefits and drawbacks of different types of ammunition explained to them ever again. Sound fair? In all seriousness, it’d be a great place for those with an interest in this sort of thing to get together, have fun, and utilise a passion that they would otherwise rarely get to. Attendees would doubtless learn much about parts of the subject that they had no idea of before, and would further get to go on trips they may not have taken alone. Also I’ve already designed the logo and it’d be a shame if it went to waste
