ParaSoc 2025/26 Membership
-£10ParaSoc is a student-led society designed to enhance the Paramedic Science experience by offering a range of extracurricular activities that support both personal and professional growth. Our aim is to help students become well-rounded, confident clinicians through opportunities beyond the classroom.
We host Continuous Professional Development (CPD) lectures, inviting subject matter experts to share their insights and real-world experiences. We also organize agency visits to foster inter-agency collaboration and broaden understanding of emergency services.
And of course, we can’t forget our social events which are a fantastic way to connect with fellow students across all years and courses. Whether you’re just starting out or nearing graduation, everyone is welcome at ParaSoc!

Provide an outlet for paramedic (and other healthcare) students Help student paramedics navigate a relatively challenging course Help student paramedics beyond uni, in developing themselves as professionals and as people
Existence
Parasoc exists for the purpose of providing paramedics a community in which they can socialise, meet other like minded people, and discuss things from the course they may have found difficult, challenging, or enjoyable. It serves as an outlet for what can be described as quite a challenging course, and something for students to look forward to as they trudge through 12 hour shifts on the back of very bumpy and very loud ambulances. Also, it allows students to develop themselves professionally through CPD events, charity events, and more. It also serves as a group not just for paramedics, but other healthcare students are more than welcome to join for any of the above reasons.
