Aims

Introduce students to quantum computing in an engaging and accessible way, regardless of prior experience. Create a welcoming environment where members can explore new ideas and meet like-minded people. Provide opportunities to develop technical skills through interactive workshops and talks.

Existence

Quantum computing is an emerging and rapidly developing field with growing relevance across computing, science, and industry. Investment in quantum technologies continues to increase (with industry growth averaging around 6.3% year-on-year), while a significant proportion of related roles remain unfilled due to a shortage of skilled candidates. This society would provide a platform for students from a range of disciplines to explore quantum computing. It would support both beginners looking to learn the fundamentals and more advanced students interested in technical discussions and projects. In addition to talks and workshops, the society would run interactive and engaging activities such as competitions and social events.
