Dive into an exhilarating underwater adventure with the University of Surrey Sub Aqua Club (USSAC)! As one of the university's largest non-competitive sports clubs, USSAC offers an inclusive and vibrant community for divers of all levels.

Diverse Diving Opportunities

USSAC caters to both novices and seasoned divers. New to diving? Embark on your journey with the 'Ocean Diver eLearning and 12-month BSAC membership' package, designed to provide comprehensive training and certification.

For the more experienced, USSAC facilitates progression through various BSAC qualifications, ensuring continuous skill development and mastery. The club maintains an extensive supply of high-quality scuba equipment, available for use on all dives, making diving accessible and hassle-free.

Thrilling Trips and Expeditions

Adventure awaits with USSAC's diverse trip offerings. The club organises UK-based residential trips regularly, including training trips to vobster and sea dives to swanage and Portland. International trips are held each summer, providing affordable alternatives to explore the rich marine life along the UK coastline like Cornwall, Egypt, Lanzarote, and Malta.

Members have the opportunity to participate in boat diving trips throughout the year, utilising the club's own Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), affectionately named Garfield. This allows access to a wide range of dive sites, enhancing the overall diving experience.

Engaging Social Scene

USSAC isn't just about diving; it's about building a community. The club boasts an active social calendar, organising diverse events such as bowling, go-karting, pub outings, and more. These activities foster camaraderie and provide opportunities to connect with fellow diving enthusiasts.

Meet the Passionate Committee

Led by the President, the committee is dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of the club and enhancing the diving experience for all members. With roles ranging from Diving Officer to Training Officer, each committee member brings unique expertise and enthusiasm, contributing to the club's dynamic environment.

Membership Details

Joining USSAC involves two primary memberships:

Club Membership: This fee supports the maintenance of club equipment and the RIB, ensuring all gear is in top condition for safe and enjoyable diving. It also covers air fills, making diving more affordable for members.

BSAC Membership: This annual fee provides third-party liability insurance, access to BSAC training and instructors, the BSAC newsletter, and exclusive discounts on dive holidays.
