Whether you’re carving up race gates, sending tricks in the park, or just figuring out how to clip into skis for the first time, we’ve got you covered. More than just a sports club, we’re a family of riders, skiers, and social legends who know how to make uni unforgettable

Led by our development secretary, Charlotte Rutter, aims to integrate beginners into the Race and Freestyle aspects of the club. A friendly face to guide you into the world of snowsports.

RACE TRAINING
Midweek is for speed. Our race squad trains every Wednesday at Aldershot Dry Slope, with drills, stubbies, and timed runs to get you BUCS and Kings ready.
Led by: Race Captain Emma Barker, who organises training and supports your progression
Ability: You must be confident linking turns on at least a blue while skiing or boarding before joining training
Coaching: Delivered by two experienced race coaches who’ll help sharpen your edge work, speed, and technique
Equipment: All skis/boards, boots, and helmets are provided
Clothing: Long sleeves and gloves are compulsory - all skin must be covered for safety
Tickets: £13 - released every Sunday @ 17:00 before the session, with limited spaces

FREESTYLE TRAINING
Style, tricks, and progression. Our freestyle squad trains every other Thursday at Hemel Hempstead Snow Dome, with real snow, boxes, rails, and kickers.
Led by: Freestyle Captain Jaeger Bakko, bringing energy and experience to every session
Ability: You must be confident linking turns while skiing or snowboarding before joining freestyle training
Coaching: Expert freestyle coaches and spotters to help you progress safely
Equipment: Skis/boards, boots, and helmets are provided
Clothing: Long sleeves and gloves are compulsory - waterproof kit is heavily encouraged (no jerrys)
Tickets: £17 - released every Sunday @ 18:00 before the session, with limited spaces
FREESTYLE ON-SNOW SESSIONS START BACK UP ON THE 5TH OF MARCH, IN THE WHILEMEANTIME, WE ARE RUNNING OFF-SLOPE SESSIONS ON THE 12TH, 19TH AND 26TH OF FEBRUARY.

On Thursdays, we’re not at Hemel; we switch things up with off-slope sessions (open to all). These are the perfect way to work on your skills. Ranging from strength training, swimming, trampolining and much more.

ANNUAL SKI TRIP - TIGNES, FRANCE
Every year we round off the season with our legendary ski trip, and this one is set to be the biggest yet. From 28th March to 4th April 2026, we’re heading to Tignes, France with NUCO Travel for a full week of skiing, snowboarding, and après.
The trip is open to all abilities! Whether you’re carving your first blues, cruising reds, or chasing laps through the park, there’s something for everyone. By day you’ll be exploring one of Europe’s most iconic resorts, and by night you’ll be partying with Surrey and students from unis across the UK. Expect big après events, themed nights, and that unbeatable mix of mountains and mates.
This is the highlight of the Surrey Snowsports calendar and the best way to wrap up the season in style. Spaces go fast every year, so keep your eyes on our socials for ticket releases and booking details - you don’t want to miss it!
