-£25Welcome to the University of Surrey Squash Club. Whether you've played for years or never picked up a racket, come meet the team and see what we have for you.
Competitive Squash:
BUCS Teams - We have 3 mens and 2 womens teams competing in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues
Performance - Our teams perform consistently well, with our mens 1s and womens 1s competing for the National Premiership playoffs, and our mens 2s, mens 3s, and womens 2s competing in Division 1 and Division 2. We are proudly one of the few 'Performance' clubs at Surrey with additional benefits offered to our performance teams such as weekly S&C sessions, access to nutritionists, and specialised 'speed' training.
Tournaments - We compete each year at BUCS Individuals, the biggest tournament in University Squash, hosted by the University of Nottingham. We also compete in an Inter-Uni tournament hosted by the University of Warwick, and this year we have the ambition to host our own tournament for other Universities to come compete at.
Development and Social Squash :
Learn to Squash - Weekly sessions coached by our student coaches, perfect for those who are learning to play the game and are passionate about getting better.
Recreational Squash - Weekly recreational squash sessions ran by our student activators, these are fun, social sessions, open to absolutely anyone to come and have a hit.
Socials
The fun doesn't stop off the court!
We host awesome themed socials that are run by our social sec every Wednesday. These include bar crawls fancy dress-ups, pub golf, and we always end up in Rubix to dance the night away!
Don't worry if that kind of thing isn't your scene.
We also host sober socials throughout the year, such as padel, mini-golf, bowling and much more!
Our stand-out events are the Christmas Dinner and End of season awards so make sure you don't miss those !
Charity
Throughout the year we partake in mulitple fun charity events such as friendly tournaments, themed bar crawls, and additional fundraisers hosted by the University and other societies
