-Promote Sri Lankan culture and heritage: Celebrate and share Sri Lanka's rich cultural diversity, traditions, food, music and history with the wider university community. -Create a sense of belonging: Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where Sri Lankan students can feel at home, build friendships and connect with others who share similar cultural backgrounds and experiences. -Encourage cultural exchange and inclusivity: Welcome students of all nationalities and backgrounds, encouraging greater understanding and appreciation of Sri Lankan culture. -Build a strong and connected community: Organise regular social gatherings, cultural celebrations, sporting activities and other events that bring members together and encourage meaningful connections. -Support student wellbeing and integration: Help students, particularly those adjusting to university life away from home, develop a support network and feel more connected to the university community.
We aim to provide Sri Lankan students with a sense of belonging and a home away from home, while also creating opportunities for students from all backgrounds to experience and celebrate our culture.
