Aims
Build a supportive community where women in engineering can connect, share experiences, socialise and support one another. Promote networking opportunities between students, graduates, academics and professionals within the industry. Increase awareness of opportunities such as internships, placements, mentoring, careers events, competitions, and promote professional development.
Existence
The Women in Engineering Society exists to provide a supportive, inclusive and safe space for women in engineering to connect, unwind and build a sense of community. We aim to create opportunities for members to meet and network with others, while increasing awareness of opportunities that they may not otherwise have access to. We also seek to build connections with industry professionals and provide members with greater insight into careers and pathways within engineering.
