Aims
Organises networking events with finance professionals and employers. Hosts guest speaker events featuring women working in the finance industry. Runs career and skills workshops such as CV writing, interview preparation and assessment centres. Organises social events to help members meet and connect with each other. Shares internship, placement and graduate job opportunities. Organises panel discussions on topics such as careers, women in leadership and experiences in finance. Provides mentoring and peer support where possible. Creates a community where students can share advice, experiences and opportunities.
Existence
To promote gender equality within the finance industry and challenge the traditional gender imbalance. To empower women to feel confident pursuing careers in finance, banking, investment, accounting and related fields. To provide networking opportunities with other students, professionals, alumni and industry leaders. To create a supportive community where women can share experiences, advice and opportunities. To improve career opportunities through workshops, careers events, internships and employer networking. To develop professional skills such as leadership, communication, networking, investing and financial analysis. To build confidence among female students, particularly in environments where they may feel underrepresented. To challenge stereotypes about finance being a male-dominated industry.
