Sociology Society

Welcome to our SocSoc Society page. We are so excited to have this new platform to interact with our society members and showcase the events we have planned!

We are a society that represents the Sociology Department- this includes Sociology, Criminology and Media, but all students across different levels of study are welcome to join.

After SocSoc became dormant, we came together to make sure we could have it up and running again for the 2024/25 academic year!

There are lots of exciting aspects of SocSoc, such as our Meet and Greet, weekly socials, the Annual Christmas Quiz and a Summer Ball – and many more…

We want to make an inclusive, welcoming space for all students to come and make new friends!  We always want to make sure everyone has a social for them and we want to make a community of people who can come together in a chill space and just hang out as a nice break from academics! Our membership is free and we try and make all of our socials cost effective for you to take part in, as we want everyone to feel able to attend :)
