It feels like a relaxing space away from the real world, where you can slow down and really appreciate the nature. It's satisfying to see the plants you have helped care for grow, week by week.

The community garden is a safe space where you can go to relax and have a break from work! It's always so fun and helps with my stress levels. The people are lovely and welcoming too!

The Community Garden is such a great form of mindfulness! It is incredibly beginner-friendly, and it feels great to apply yourself to a singular task like beekeeping or managing the garden beds. Even just a 30 minute lunchtime escape is hugely restorative, and helps me feel grounded.

As an international student I enjoyed learning of the concept of an allotment in the UK and wanted to try my hand at gardening. The Community Garden gave me that exposure and although am a big city girl, with medical ailments, it being tiring-I enjoyed knowing that what we sow we could reap and use: fresh farm to table style. Not entirely regular, I cherish having plucked apples from the tree: a childhood desire and memory stirring nostalgia (albeit not being the next Eve :p ) & had a blast with the Community friendships. I always think of returning and should re-visit soon :) It is nice to think some goodness is still left on Earth as volunteers take turns to care, nurture and ensure the plants thrive even if it is as simple as task as watering the plants. It would be fantastic if all the flora across the campuses could be replaced with vegetables and fruits making it a sustained campus. :)
