Join the Race Equality Network for a relaxed Craft & Chat session centred around culture, identity and self-expression. Grab a canvas and some paint and create something that represents your culture, country, or personal background. Whatever feels meaningful to you.
PAINT, MINI CANVASES, SNACKS AND PENS/PENCILS PROVIDED!
This is a safe and supportive space to share your story, listen to others, and reflect on the role culture plays in our everyday lives. Through creativity and conversation, we’ll explore why cultural awareness and representation matter, and how open dialogue can help build understanding and community.
Bring your friends, meet new people and enjoy a calm, creative session where you can express yourself freely. No artistic experience needed, just come as you are.
The purpose of this event is to explore students’ perspectives, ongoing initiatives, and potential opportunities to enhance representation and promote open conversations within the University and Students’ Union.
The Race Equality Subnetwork is part of the Student Equality Network. Monthly meetings are hosted by the Race Equality Subnetwork leader. The Race Equality Subnetwork has been set up as an opportunity for students to share their experiences and drive meaningful change for race equality. This subnetwork is open to students who self-identify as being from a racial minority ethnic background and/or students who are interested in the topic of race equality.
