Dr Sarah Berry is a world-leading nutritional scientist, Professor of Nutritional Sciences at King’s College London, and Chief Scientist at ZOE, where she leads the global PREDICT studies exploring how genetics, metabolism, and the gut microbiome shape our responses to food.
In December 2025, she co-authored a major study published in Nature journal showing how faecal metabolites reflect habitual diet and interact with the microbiome, strengthening the evidence for personalised nutrition.
In January 2026, she also shared new insights in national media on how meal timing, food combinations, and gut microbes influence blood sugar and metabolic health.
At the Beyond the Label, Beyond Biology: Rethinking Food and Our Responses Sarah will bring this research to life, challenge how two labels will the same ingredients can have different outcomes in the body depending on food structure. She will also show how understanding your microbiome can transform the way you think about nutrition.
