International Students: Employability

Wednesday 11 February, 13:00–13:30

Are you an International Student? Be part of the conversation today! Join the Network here.

Our focus for this meeting is Employability. Whether you are a new or returning International Student, come along and receive guidance on building your career while at university, share advice on navigating the job market, and highlight the support services and resources available to help you succeed.

We will also be joined by several Union and University representatives:

  • Lauren from Surrey Connects: Valuable opportunities for Mentorship with Surrey Alumni
  • Charlotte from the Union's Destination Success project: Free personal and professional development sessions to stand out in the job market
  • Phil from Friends International, discussing the Life Leadership Course Learn about different Leadership Theories and practices on this useful 6 week course
  • Sofia, Susana and Irene from the Employability Team who are interested to hear more from students about what long term support and events you want to see from the Careers Team.

The International Students Subnetwork is part of the Student Equality Network. Monthly meetings are hosted by the International Students Subnetwork leader as a dedicated space for students to discuss their personal experiences, raise concerns and bring ideas for how the Union and University can better represent and support this cohort.
