This week, Monday 16 – Sunday 22 March, is One World Week – a week we celebrate every year in partnership with the University, student societies, and the wider community. The aim of the week is to celebrate and showcase the many cultures, traditions, and global perspectives that make Surrey such a unique and inclusive place to live and study.

We have a whole host of events on for you this week here at your Students’ Union, from a range of Belonging Events and advice sessions to the iconic IGala set to finish the week off on a high, we have something for everyone.

Here’s what we have planned this week:

• Wednesday 18 March – Union Creates: Belonging Breakfast
• Wednesday 18 March – Union Creates: Chinese Calligraphy Workshop
• Thursday 19 March – International Students Advice & Drop-In
• Thursday 19 March – Union Screens: Zootropolis 2
• Saturday 21 March – One World Gala 2026

What’s great about One World Week is that everyone is invited! This entire week is designed to be open, inclusive and celebratory, so if you’re looking to learn more about other cultures, connect with other students or just have fun, make sure to get involved!
