Welcome Craft & Chat!: AutiSoc x Student Equality Network

Wednesday 16 September, 11:00–13:00

Join us for this Craft & Chat event hosted by AutiSoc and the Student Equality Network. Take part in  different craft activities at your own pace including:

  • Notebook Decorating
  • Create a Habit Tracker Wall Chart
  • Paint or Sketch a mini canvas
  • Colouring Sheets
  • Sketch, Paint, Draw or Collage with different materials available!

Talk to current students in a relaxed and open environment. Best places to study on campus? What is the experience like of being a neurodiverse or student  with a disability at Surrey? What is it like to join a society? We are here to help answer! You can ask any questions to current students and via our anonymous Q/A form. You can also browse the informative leaflets and resources available at the session.

Open to Everyone- Whether you want to make something, meet people, ask a question, find support or simply have a chat- you’re welcome to join us :) :)

AutiSoc: We are a society where autistic people can meet and form a community. We run social events every Friday, where we play board and video games, watch movies, and have meals out, amongst other things. Formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed, and those seeking a diagnosis are all welcome. Find out more here

The Student Equality Network: This is a group run by students, for students and supported by the Union. The Network holds monthly meetings where members can share their views and opinions to help the Union best support students through their time at University. The Student Equality Network work with its members to organise, support or contribute different events, campaigns, and projects that celebrate diversity and highlight diverse student voices.
