Constitution

Aims

We want to present exciting and fresh performances of plays for those who want to expand their acting experiences and star in something that matters. We want to platform new pieces of work that tackle interesting social issues - wether that is a play we lisence or a play that one of our own Surrey students have written! This is different to the Musical Theatre society as we will be focusing on acting and storytelling instead of singing and dancing!

Existence

We want to pioneer the exciting outlooks our Surrey students have on social issues through theatre, creating interesting conversations from the different plays we will perform. We want a space where Surrey and GSA students can submit their own original work and watch it play out on stage and become a real life performance, giving a platform to new voices within our community. This society also allows those who do not find interest in singing and dancing an opportunity to focus on their acting work and perform in plays rather than musicals!
