Trips are organised by your Students’ Union, designed to help students explore new places and make memorable experiences.

All current and alumni University of Surrey students are welcome! You are also welcome to bring guests (non-students) on our trips too.

Trips are often fortnightly during semester time. If there is a higher demand, trips will be added more frequently.

Prices vary depending on the destination and what’s included. We aim to keep costs student-friendly and often subsidise part of the cost. For day trips, you are essentially paying for your seat on the coach. Any additional activities whilst in the place are not included, unless stated otherwise in the trip description.

Payments can usually be made online by card. If you have any issues, contact the Union or email the contact listed in the event description.

Refunds depend on the trip itself and how close it is to the trip date. For day trips, there is a no refund policy. You would need to sell your ticket to someone else. For international trips, check the cancellation policy in the terms and conditions.

All trips depart from the bus stop on AP Plaza. Please make sure you arrive at AP Plaza 15 minutes before the time the coach is due to depart.

Once the coach arrives at the destination, you are free to go off on your own or with your friends to explore and enjoy. Please meet back at the location and at the time given to you by the Trip Supervisor (arrive 15 minutes before departure to make sure you don’t miss the coach home!). 

Bring your ticket confirmation, student ID, comfortable shoes, water, snacks, and any personal items you might need. If it’s an outdoor trip, pack for the weather!

Meals are not included, but there will always be opportunities to buy food at the destination.

Day trips within the UK usually don’t require it, but for international or overnight trips, we recommend checking your personal coverage. 

Occasionally, yes! Keep an eye on announcements for special trips abroad, these often have limited spaces available and require passports. 

It depends on your nationality and the destination. The Union will provide guidance and supporting documentation for your application, but it’s your responsibility to ensure you have the right documents and organise your visa appointments.

The Union aims to make all trips inclusive. If you have accessibility needs, please contact the team in advance to discuss accommodations.

Yes, each trip has a trip supervisor present. You’ll get an emergency contact number shared with you on the day of the trip.
