Semester one was packed with events and opportunities to make the most of your time at Surrey, and here at your Union, we've been thrilled to see how much you have all got stuck in with what we've had on offer for you! To celebrate the start of a brand new semester, we've rounded up some stats that tell the story of what you've been up to with your Union this year so far. 

You had fun!

  • You bought 17732 VKs
  • You ate 1812 pizzas at Manor Park Social
  • Your favourite popular topping was pepperoni (with Margarita in close 2nd place!)
  • 14,067 of you spent your night in Rubix
  • 1084 events were added to our What's On calendar

You made the most of Surrey Life

  • We gave away 3000 goodie bags at Freshers Fair (more goodies on offer at Refreshers Fair next week!)
  • You bought 310 tickets to our 8 Belonging Trips around the UK and abroad
  • You bought 15084 Club and Society memberships (and it's not too late to join!)
  • Over 1350 of you bought tickets to over 50 Belonging Events

You found support when you needed it

  • We ran 6 Dog Therapy sessions
  • We hosted 29 exam support advice Drop-Ins
  • We handled 1316 Advice cases
  • We sent out 730,875 Union Newsletters full of useful info

You stepped up!

We made change together

  • 53 Course Reps submitted a win
  • 226 of you attended Student Voice Forum (next Forum coming on 17 February!)
  • You submitted over 600 change suggestions during Speak Week
  • We ran 5 central Union campaigns and 4 cultural campaigns
  • You cast 4833 ballots across 4 elections to find new Union Officers, Course Reps, and Club and Society signatories
