Our priorities for the year come from each elected officer’s Manifesto, the trends we are seeing in student data, and the priorities outlined in our newly launched Students’ Union Strategic Plan 24-27.
It’s important we set out our goals for the year, so that we can work alongside the University to improve your student experience. That’s why I’m proud to present our Union Priorities; each point has been developed from our elected officers’ manifestos, supported by data that we have collected through your student voice. This isn’t just a show-and-tell, though! We regularly review our progress on each priority when meeting with the University, holding ourselves and the University accountable to creating change! – Union President, Liam White
This year the Union’s priorities fall under the following categories:
- Cost of Living
- Employability
- Access, Participation, and Student Success
- Financial Resilience
- Visibility
