Each year, the students across the University help to raise funds and volunteer for worthwhile causes as part of Raising And Giving (RAG), and we ask you who are partner charities should be. Here are the options this year:

Rainbow Trust

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families in Surrey who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life-threatening or terminal illness.

SeeAbility

SeeAbility supports people with learning disabilities, autism and sight impairment by providing specialist accommodation in Guildford and running support programmes.

Samson Centre

The Samson Centre for Multiple Sclerosis uses exercise, physio and oxygen therapy to assist people living with MS and are based in the same building as the Uni Kayak Club.

Sight for Surrey

Sight for Surrey supports over 8,000 children and adults in Surrey who are blind or partially sighted, Deaf, deafblind or hard of hearing.

Oakleaf

Based very locally on Walnut Tree Close, Oakleaf is an occupational therapy unit that helps adults to manage their mental ill-health with training courses, wellbeing activities and counselling.

Challengers

Challengers provide Playschemes and Youthschemes that challenge the barriers to play for disabled children and teenagers.

Cherry Trees

Cherry Trees provide specialist respite breaks for 0-19 year olds with complex disabilities in a safe, stimulating and fun environment.

Surrey Care Trust

Surrey Care Trust provides learning, training and mentoring to help young people and adults overcome limited opportunities and setbacks in life.
