The Students’ Union works to make sure that every student can make the most of Surrey, and at the heart of our mission as a charity is to create the changes that you want to see.
What do we do with your feedback?
Throughout the year, the elected Officer team work across the full breadth of the University, from subject or department-level meetings, to working at the top educational committees. Feedback from students has helped to create incredible, lasting changes at Surrey, including:
- Introducing the Safety Net Policy during Covid
- Creating the MySurrey Hive and Nest
- Bringing Report + Support to Surrey
Depending on the sort of feedback you share with us, we may implement it internally at the Students’ Union by working with the staff team that support the Union’s operations. For University-related feedback, we may work with specific University leaders, or raise your issue at the next appropriate Committee. If you’d like to find out more about what we’ve done in response to student feedback, check out our You Said, We Did page!
Have your say
If you’d like to chat about a particular change you’d like to see, you can contact any of our elected Officer team. Not sure who’s best to contact? Add an idea to Influence Your Union and we’ll make sure it gets to the right person!
We also collect student feedback throughout the year via the Pulse survey, which is run by our partners Alterline. Each month, one-ninth of the students at Surrey are asked to fill in the survey, which we use to plan for the term ahead and respond to any changes in attitudes over the year.
